Lil' Warriors For Christ Ministry

I WANT TO BE LIKE WRIGHT

We asked several children to participate in our column of "I WANT TO BE LIKE WRIGHT". We are publishing their responses. The question was; Reverend Wright was temporarily called away on an important mission in South Africa. Reverend Allen and Deacons are on a retreat. But just like Jesus was called at an early age - you have been called at an early age to take charge, step up and assist in running the church while they are away.

Working as a role model and mentor what would you do to help keep the congregation encouraged and help the elder members left behind to run the church?

Portia Smith - Imani 8th Grade

1. To encourage the people, I would try and gather all of the youth ministries and prepare a special presentation for the church.

2. I would choose an important scripture that I feel needs to be spoken about. Then I would just speak what I feel.

3. I would not change anything that we are already doing.

4. To get people active in ministries, I would tell them all of the good things that has happened and have them sit down and watch some of the ministries minister to each other and see if they are interested.

5. I would try to welcome new members as best as I could by introducing them to many people, and try to convince them to try and join a ministry.
