The Greeters Ministry was sanctioned as a ministry of TUCC in May of 2002.

Mission Statement

Our mission in the Greeters Ministry is to encourage and enrich the lives of each person entering the doors of TUCC by welcoming and supporting them in a positive, friendly, spiritual manner.

Purpose

The purpose of the Greeters Ministry is to provide an enthusiastic, positive, spiritual and friendly welcome to each person entering TUCC before every worship service and special service. This ministry is committed to help make every worship experience at TUCC, positive and spiritually up-lifting for everyone, every time.

The activities of this ministry shall therefore be designed to be supportive and sensitive to the needs of the church and the congregation by assisting the ushers, deacons, pastoral staff and other ministries as needed. Opportunities shall be provided for the greeters to assist before and during each worship service as needed.

The services rendered by the Greeters Ministry shall be to:

  • Welcome each person entering for worship at TUCC in a friendly, spiritual manner; and
  • Provide assistance, information and direction to church facilities and services; and
  • Educate members of the ministry on maintaining positive, spiritual attitudes; and
  • Support the mission and the goals of the church.
