Mission Statement

The purpose of the ministry shall be for witness and discipleship through studying and consequently reciting and expressing scripture to the congregation of TUCC during selected church services and other church approved events within TUCC and outside of our home church. All activities will be aligned with the Pastor's Ten Point Vision and the Black Value System.

History

"From a vision to what has become a journey.."

The Drill Team started out as a vision of Pastor Wright for the youth. After seeing a performance by the Islamic Drill Team he provided Deacon In Training (now Reverend) Stacy Edwards a tape and asked her to start a youth drill team. From that vision we now have a youth, Women's and Men's Drill Teams.

In 1998 The Women's Drill Team started just as that a 'Drill Team' where they drilled only during Women's Week and Women's Day. In 2001 the drill team became a ministry that praises God through steps and scriptures. The ministry ministers at different services at TUCC and other organizations.

General Body Meetings are held every 4th Saturday
Executive Board Meeting are held every 3rd Saturday
